Experience in AutoCAD (Courses or Education preferred; self-taught acceptable)

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).  Proficiency in Access desirable.

Lopez Engineering is looking for someone bright, willing to learn, and eager to work.

· Prepare construction drawings and specifications

Prepare drawings in AutoCAD – electrical, lighting and special systems floorplans for commercial buildings, tenant improvements, retrofits, industrial, government, and hospitals.

Calculations: Lighting levels, voltage drop, short circuit, and others associated with design

· Data analysis in Microsoft Excel

· Assist in report preparation

· Assist in electrical distribution systems, studies, and design

· Assist in Energy Audits including energy savings calculations

· Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgeting

· Field work/site visits

· Other tasks as assigned

AutoCAD Drafter/ Entry-Level Designer

B.S. in Engineering (either Mechanical or Electrical preferred)

Lopez Engineering is primarily a consulting electrical engineering firm.  However, we also do control systems design, which typically is associated with mechanical.
