Mr. Ramirez is the Electrical Designer and Project Manager for Lopez Engineering. He investigates and designs Electrical systems: Normal and Emergency (Generator/UPS) Electrical Power, Telephone, Fire Alarm, Data, Lighting, Site, and Internal. He also performs assessment reports.
Current/Recent Projects:
NNSA Service Center Building 383 HVAC Upgrade Lighting, Electrical System, and HVAC Controls:
Project removes existing light fixtures, perimeter fan coil units, provides HVAC unit with outside air, economizers, VAV boxes, EMS-DDC, energy efficient lighting with ambient light and occupancy sensor controls, lay-in ceiling, new ductwork, sound proof security vault penetrations with imspectable security bars, and extensions/refurbishments to the heating hot water and chilled water systems. The contract amount was $136,000. Construction amount: $2,800,000. Role: Assistant Project Manager
UNM-Hospital, Plant Chiller Installation
The Design Element for Electrical panelboard metering to determine load capacity included the Equipment Branch Emergency Power System and the Normal Power System. The New Switchboard with feed from main switchgear included load transfer from the existing overloaded switchboard, as determined from the panelboard metering (New Motor Control Center with normal power feed). We also performed a Condition Assessment of Potential Administrative/Data Building. The Electrical systems investigated were Normal and Emergency (Generator/UPS) Electrical Power, Telephone, Fire Alarm, Data, Lighting, Site, and Internal.
Lovelace Medical Center - 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, and 10th Floor Remodel
The Electrical System Design included Emergency and Normal Power, Interior Lighting, Special Systems (Nurse Call, Fire Alarm, Cable TV, and Telephones). We performed an Electrical System integration with overall site electrical system upgrade performed by others.
St. Vincent – E.D., Phased Demolition/Installation of the Emergency Department Electrical Systems.
Electrical System Design which included Power (Emergency and Normal). Lighting which included Parking lot and Interior lights. Special Systems which included Nurse Call, Fire Alarm, Cable TV, and Telephones. Design Elements which included Electrical panelboard metering to determine load capacity (Critical Care Emergency Power System, Life Safety Emergency Power System, Equipment Branch Emergency Power System, and Normal Power System).
