Experience Summary:
Mr. Sherer is the Electrical Designer for Lopez Engineering. He performs field investigations and verification of as-built drawings, cost estimates, lighting calculations and layout. He has been an Assistant Project Manager on numerous projects.
Current/Recent Projects:
Lovelace Medical Center - 6th Floor In-patient Surgery
Coordinate electrical point of connection with on-going infrastructure upgrade, which was designed by another engineering firm. Loads were separated between various emergency and normal power distribution networks. Communication between firms was vital to prevent a single system from being overloaded.
St. Vincent Regional Medical Center Surgery
Evaluate field changes due to previously unknown existing conditions. Much of the existing infrastructure was not visible until demolition work began.
Laguna Middle School Student Health Center
LEI was prime contractor and was responsible for coordinating the design efforts of the Architect, Mechanical and Plumbing Engineer, and Dental Consultant. We also needed to comply with the requirements of the New Mexico Department of Health, the Laguna Tribal Council, the Laguna Department of Education, the New Mexico Community Foundation, and the Bureau of Indian Education.
